Looking for Softball Committee Members!

·       U9 convenor - Plan and prepare for the Welcome to U9 session, form and communicate teams, act as the communication liaison between the U9 teams and the softball committee

·       Softball Development Manager - Plan winter/spring development opportunities, find facilitators for sessions, ensure necessary equipment is at the sessions, communicate session dates/times and take registration if necessary.  Communicate other development opportunities in surrounding areas.

·       Softball Tournament Co-ordinator - Plan Tiger Hills league tournament in conjunction with team tournament reps from applicable age groups

·       *NEW* - Uniform manager - Responsible for all softball uniforms, assigning jerseys to teams, handing them out to teams, keeping track of who has which jersey and which jerseys we have available to go out, coordinate coaches t-shirt order, ordering replacement jerseys.

·       VP of softball successor - I am enjoying this role, however, I am hoping to transition someone else into it in September 2025.  To make for a seamless transition, I invite anyone interested to join the committee to get familiar with the workings of the role and attend the league meetings with me.  I will stay on the exec a minimum of one year so I can be a resource should you need it! You can join through one of the positions mentioned above or you can simply shadow me as we go through the 2025 spring season.  If you have further questions regarding what I do, please ask! 

Here’s a quick description - attend Tiger Hill Leaue meetings (two per year), compile league schedule for Morden, assign diamonds for home games, communicate diamond needs with the City of Morden, communicate home game umping needs to umpire scheduler, find convenors and coaches for each age group, plan and run coaches/managers meeting, act as VP of softball on the MMB executive committee (voting member).  ~ Jaimee
